Even with all the research I've done directly through the general land office records, this book has been UNBELIEVABLY helpful. To be able to look up and see in a few seconds not only my ancestor's land, but their neighbors as well, has helped me in my family history research to better place them and understand their communities. I love that I can also see their same land in the road map and the historical map, which give a great general view of the world they lived in including the landscape, bodies of water, roads, cemeteries and schools, etc. My books for Polk County and Taney County are my favorite family research books so far. 100 stars, if you ask me, as this has been invaluable in helping me understand my family as well as helping to sort out some family myths that I otherwise would never have been able to figure out!Product details
